Arigatou Gozaimasu! We are very thankful for all your prayers and support! Today was another day full of blessings as we continued our VBS. Our morning started with a delicious breakfast from Fresh Market. Mrs. Duncan shared a powerful message about Jesus and the fig tree. She challenged us not to just have leaves on the outside but to produce fruit.
VBS started with a bang as our worship team brought the energy and excitement. The kids eagerly copied hand motions and sang along.
Estella and Rachel wonderfully presented the story of Hannah and ended it with an interactive video. The kids were introduced to prayer and the beautiful truth that God hears us.
After breaking into groups, the kids enjoyed crafts and games. The craft team, led by Brooklyn and Daniel, guided the kids in making telephone cups. The room was filled with awe and wonder as the kids could hear each other across the room through the sound waves traveling on the string. The game team once again had the room filled with laughter as Alex led the kids in a fun game.

Student Quotes:
“It was nice to see all the kids having fun and memorizing the Bible verses the best they can” - Kenneth
“I was put in this position last minute and I didn’t think I would do well. But today showed me that God has a plan. I really bonded with this new kid, Yuto. God will prepare you for the unexpected” - Nathan
“I had a great time interacting with the kids of Japan, getting to know them despite the language barrier. I, especially, had fun during a game of Scrabble, coming up with english words together. I was very impressed by their knowledge of the English vocabulary. It was great getting to know each kid as they were all unique in their personalities. Working with all the kids to make crafts was fun. I loved watching their imaginations take charge.” - Brooklyn
“The baking team faced some difficulties preparing the pudding today. But it was all worth it when the kids' faces lit up when they tasted instant pudding for the first time, even if the pudding was slightly liquidy than normal. It was nice seeing the kids having fun and enjoying themselves. I overall had a great time.” - Lilah Cubacub
In Christ’s service,
